Unemployed

I’m unemployed, tired, and I own little stuff.

Just like my Master, I’m living the marginal life of a monk.

Are the birds anxious about what they gonna eat tomorrow?

Are the elks breaking a sweat right now because they have to find fresh grass for supper?

Why should I be anxious about my situation? The Lord is with me.

Isn’t it God?

You know that when I’m out there in the world; going about my day; earning money; and making jokes with unbelievers, my focus is not on you.

Master, I’m starting to know you quite well.

You are a very jealous God. Oh yes! Jealous, jealous.

And I’m not dumb.

I know you needed a way to keep me off work for a while; bored, isolated, and slightly depressed.

You brought Hashimoto thyroiditis in my life and transformed me into a human turtle for several weeks now.

I’m living on my savings and I have just enough energy to go to the grocery store and feed myself. That’s how energetic I am at the moment.

Why not creating a Christian blog, hey?

That was very ingenious of you.

I can’t say I’m mad though; I’m quite impressed.

Impressed about how you make sure we don’t miss the tiny door of Heaven.

Love you my Lord,

  1. Will be keeping you in prayer. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort , who comforts us; in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

  2. Our Heavenly Father does not waste anything. From the tiniest of His Creation to His Crowning Glory, Isaiah 62:3. Nothing he says or does returns void, Isaiah 55:11. He has a purpose and plan for all His children, Jeremiah 29:11,as long as we are willing to receive Him into our heart, Ephesians 3:17-19. I know after all these years I’ve lived through the thick and thin and really scarry times, I can look back on my life at the before and after when I became a Christian and see how my Father God wove all those circumstances together for my good, Romans 8:28, and His Glory….You are a beautiful vessel, Psalm 139:14, of His choosing and as you have seen, He purposed a great plan for you as testimony to others of His love for them. 2 Timothy 1:8. God bless. 🙏❤🙌

  3. 1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you”.

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”.

We are divinely still, what ever we are doing, we are divinely still. Meaning, in spite of everything going on, We are stilled: at peace, calm, and fearless.🙏🏾💡

    1. Thank you for reading ❤️ Indeed, the Devil has no power on us when we are looking directly at the Light. He can make us weak for a while, but love always wins in the end ❤️ God is the Creator, he is all powerful. Amen 🕊

  5. My prayers are with you. I can look back over my life and now see that the trials I endured were used for God’s glory. He has used unemployment, health issues and trauma to redirect my life for the better. Yet in the middle of these trying times it is hard to see the good. Remain firm in your faith and trust God. Blessings to you.

  6. The Lord lives through you. Lord wants to live the fullest through you. And in the era we are living in, to live the fullest you need wealth. You have found your peace, but your job here is not done. Create wealth so that Lord can live the way desired.

And frankly, people who are satisfied with what they are and not looking forward, are basically lazy to put the effort needed. Instead of doing their work, they put the blame on Lord.

    1. Also, there are Lord’s method to do anything you want. Even self healing. You have just given up and holding on to Hope. Hope is a very dangerous word. Let go of Hope and start doing what the Lord has already shared with you.

  7. What you are writing is straight from the heart, and this is how you approach prayer. He knows our needs before we do, but it is honoring to Him, that we bring our relationship with Him closer, and so you must speak from your heart. I like your honesty, as do others. So keep it going and remember that we are all praying for your, your situation, and waiting to see how God is going to work it all out for you. Blessings.

  8. Hi! I understand going through trials. One time I felt so poor, and I talked about it, thought about it, tried to make ways to earn money. A friend called me with a “Word from the Lord.” I was a little skeptical but I told her to go ahead. She said, “God would say to you, who are you worshiping? Are you worshiping lack? When you focus on lack, lack will be drawn to you. Or are you worshiping Me, the Great I Am, God Who takes care of you?”
I repented of fear and talking and thinking about lack, and things got better. I don’t remember how long it took, but more than once I’ve had to cast my cares on Him, as it tells us to do in (1 Peter 5:7, KJV), for he cares for us. Take care!

    1. You are right. Today, I have prayed for the Lord to strengthen me – make me fearless. I still have health issues, but I’m also dealing with childhood emotional abuse, and I don’t know how to heal from it. I always go back to my self-destructive ways when I’m too overwhelmed with difficult emotions. I wrote to a Christian therapist today. Hopefully, that person I wrote to will be the right person to help me get back into an active life. I honestly just want to heal, and I want to share my journey on this blog, because so many people are broken right now and need to feel they aren’t alone. The peace of the Lord stays with you. Thank you for your encouraging words. Amen ❤️

  9. You are never truly alone, He is always there to listen to you, to respond to your needs, and most importantly to heal you, but you must release that which is hold you back, to a therapist, so that they can guide you to the freedom that only God can give you. Do not give up, Satan likes to remind you that you are not worthy enough, your sins cannot be taken away. This is why he is the great deceiver and liar. You are a child of the Living God and He loves you. I can’t wait to hear you got the help you need, because your comments will change, your attitude will change and you can tell Satan to just shut up, as you are serving God alone. We are all pulling and praying for you.

  10. Our ‘success’ is usually defined by our profession and, in particular, salary (with employer benefits/perks).
But the truly greatest and most progressive achievements throughout history had little or nothing to do with wealth or six/seven-figure salaries; rather, they came from a beautiful heart and/or mind (e.g., Jesus and MLK).
